Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazl) emir Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that upcoming Islamabad Azadi March is aimed at protecting the Constitution and democracy in Pakistan.

Addressing the JUI-F workers convention here on Tuesday, he said that before announcing the Islamabad Azadi March his party has organized 15 million marches countrywide which were overwhelmed by the people. He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan-led federal government has compromised on national sovereignty.

He said his party is standing with the democratic values and the Constitution of Pakistan and present government led by Prime Minister Imran Khan did not come into power with the fair mandate of the people but it was imposed on the masses through massive rigging. "Therefore, we are going to rid the country of the fake government with the help of the masses for which we have been preparing for past 8 months. In first phase, we have mobilized people through million marches held across the country and now in the final stage we are all set to get rid of the installed government," Maulana maintained.

He said that the government has ruined the national economy, while large industrial units are laying off their staff, production activities have come to a standstill and hundreds of thousands of Pakistanis are deprived of their job.

He said that PM Imran Khan during his US visit has sold out Kashmir and now is mulling to compromise on Gilgit-Baltistan.

Maulana said that Pakistan was in a state of war with all the neighbouring countries excluding Afghanistan but now Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government led by Imran Khan is trying to push Pakistan into a war like situation with Afghanistan too. He said that to sail out Pakistan of the current crisis, there is a need to create harmony within the country as well as with neighbouring country.

He further stated that PTI government from day one has created across the board unrest from building economic crisis to creating anxiety among the religious people by releasing Aasia Bibi and then sending her abroad.

He said if Aasia Bibi was innocent and not involved in blasphemy of Prophet Mohammad (SAWW) so why the Pakistani sate failed to provide her security which as per constitution is the right of every Pakistani citizen.

He added that now world leader of Qadyanis is saying that the government of Pakistan will end the discriminatory laws against them and Qadyanis hope this will soon happen. "Who has assured them of such constitutional changes, other than the present government?" he asked

Earlier, addressing the participants JUI-F Secretary General Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri claimed that PM Imran Khan has deliberately sold Kashmir to India in consultation with US President Donald Trump. He said now Imran Khan and his cabinet members are just making hue and cry to deceive the people of Pakistan and Kashmir, adding that Imran Khan himself has wished for the victory of Modi in Indian elections 2019, saying Modi's win will help resolve Kashmir issue.

He further said that now Modi, Trump and Imran Khan are working to divide Kashmir into three parts and Imran Khan was not invited on US visit but was summoned by the US administration to inform him about the Kashmir with a piece of advice not to go on war against India.
